The Parent Talk Line is a telephone information line that the public may phone to speak with a public health nurse about any parenting issue.
The Parent Talk Line is for the entire Niagara Region community.
The Parent Talk Line offers services that include support and advice on parenting questions or concerns, referrals to the Healthy Babies Healthy Children program, presentation requests, and referrals to other public health and community resources.
Topics that are covered include:

-Pre-pregnancy and pregnancy health
-School health
-Childcare services and Ontario Early Years Centres
-Growth and development
-Feelings of anxiety and frustration
-ADHD, ADD and related disorders
-Alcohol and Drugs

Information on Niagara Region Public Health parenting classes and groups including Baby Talk, Triple P Parenting classes, and a post-partum support group are available by calling the line. Schedules for breastfeeding clinics can also be provided.
A public health nurse can help link families to services in the community.
